Feasts are simply a gathering of SCA members and guests, where we enjoy each other's company, while sharing a meal. In keeping with the theme, medieval table settings, cutlery, and drinking vessels are used. If possible, please bring your own, as we do not have much in the way of loaner feast gear.

You will need:

  • plate
  • bowl
  • goblet
  • knife
  • spoon
  • (optional) candle(s) and candlestick(s)
  • table cloth and napkins

The meal itself consists of period dishes, all brought by the participants. Think of it as a medieval 'pot luck' dinner! We try to keep things as authentic as possible, so this means no tomatoes, potatoes, or corn, as these vegetables were not available until well after the middle ages.

We hold a 'feast' once a month. Newcomers are most welcome. As mentioned above, we can supply loaner 'garb' to get you started. The feast starts about 6 pm, but people gather starting at 3 pm for fighter practice, sewing, and just getting to know your fellow Scadian.
